Biggest countries in Online Football Managers

This is the kind of national mixture of users (in %) you should expect from the generic online football manager. It is obtained as the arithmetic mean of the mixture of users in the most relevant six games in my opinion: Hattrick, Manager Zone, Sokker, Trophy Manager, FreeKick, Planetarium Manager.

Observations:

1. I didn't meant to make a study of witch market is bigger but a study of what kind of customers/players should one expect when developing/joining an generic international game. This chart ranks the countries by how well they are represented in online football managers. If I would rank them by the total number of users then the huge countries from the biggest games would get the first places regardless of how well they are represented in the rest of the games. For example: Argentina with 126 939 users in Manager Zone and 40 488 in Hattrick would have a total of 167 427 users, with 69 417 more than Spain (12 422 + 85 588) the second biggest country. That means that Spain would get the number one spot only if more than 56% of users from the rest of the games would be Spanish and none Argentinian. And that's just for the first two positions, it would get even worse for the lower positions, practically the entire chart would be determined only by the biggest two games out there.

2. The results are not completely correct since for some games the percentage of users from the country of origin of the games is way too big. For example 18.19% of Planetarium Manager users are from Portugal, the country of origin of the game. If you take a look over the table you will easily spot other examples. I am looking into using another mean method to get better results.

3. Even if Germany is one of the biggest markets of online gaming, if not the biggest, it is ranked a bit too low. That's because many German games like Soccer Manager, Sports-Manager, Soccer at Manager Games, Online Fussball Manager, Goalz, 90-minutes, and maybe others, were left out because they were meant for German market and they weren't relevant anywhere else.

4. My goal was to make a Top 10 of the most active countries on the football manager games market, and for achieving that I had to take in consideration more than 10 countries to be sure that I spot all the countries that deserve a place in Top 10. Unless I take in consideration all the countries I can't be sure of how accurate the bottom of the chart is. For the first part of the chart I'm confident there is no county missing, but I'm not so sure for the bottom of the chart, that's why only the first 10 are ranked and the rest are not. The unranked countries are for informative purpose only.

5. It's interesting to see that in Manager Zone there are huge and tiny counties, with nothing between them. The first 5 biggest countries hold 64% of all the users. For comparison in Hattrick the first 5 countries have only 33.5% of the total number of users. Anyone knows why is that?

6. A little bit over 56% of the average football manager users come from one of the Top 10 countries and almost 80% of them are from one of the listed countries.

Hi. Interesting new chart. I'd like the total number of managers included though as it carries some relevance imo.

...and could we have an updated version of the footie-games chart as we've moved on up the list! ;)

A question: Why isn't xperteleven.com included in you charts?

Done.

I think that the next week you'll have another chart. I'm a little busy right now.

Too commercial for my taste and it just doesn't fits the concept of game that I am looking after.

Cool. Thanks for the fast reaction and the answers :)

The reason Czech player-numbers are small is because they all play SoccerProject ;-)
Almost 13.000 of them, or 33% of all SP-players.
